CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.
Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.
Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

I will NEVER buy a NISSAN again, in my lifetime! This is just BULLSHIT that they have a known CVT defect that they continue to use and expect that folks will shell out $4,156 for a new Trans every 100,000 miles. They had recalled 2003 to 2010 models but kept building cars with that defective CVT.
I posted on FB and linkedin. Stopped several from buying this piece of crap!!!
BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!Please help spread the word.
Update from May 14, 2017: I was also told that Nissan DOES NOT have any repair parts in the open market to repair this defect. You MUST go to the Dealership.
