CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.
Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.
Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

Well My lane detection system is not working properly, If i get close to a line(not on it or going over it) it will blink and make noise. It is supposed to do this when I go over it or cross it. and when it rains It goes off like crazy, I had to turn it off. I paid extra money for this option and now it is just turned off, I took it to the service dept. and was told there was nothing abnormal. Everything I took my car in for they told me nothing is wrong and that it is all normal, after creating a case with nissan and took it back they fixed three out of 12 of the items but this is one they did not, very upsetting.
