CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.
Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.
Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

Had my car to the dealership for the play/skip problem. They could not fix it. Said it must be my fault. Flash drive plays in some 2013 Altimas but not in mine. Contacted main office of Nissan and they suggested I purchase a 2.0 flash drive. That did not work. Dealership suggested I download music in MPe format. That is how the music was formated. Dealership where I purchased my car was in the process of getting a MP3 player for me but sold the dealership that week. Newest dealership said copy music in WMA format. That did not work. I have purchased a total of 8 flash drives in 3 different gb by 3 different manufacturers. FINAL INSULT Nissan 800 # does not allow customers to speak with supervisors. They might call back within 48 hours (not including weekends).
Thanks, I sure feel better.
