CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.
Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.
Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

So for the third and final time, I took my car into Nissan since my A/C was blowing hot air again (already replaced the original compressor at 60k miles and then again at 93k miles 3 months prior to this, also reported in separate complaints on here).
They found that the clutch had shorted out the after market compressor & the warranty company would only authorize the after market compressor again. So they put the new after market one in and while testing it in the shop, it had already failed again due to the same issue of the clutch shorting it out.
So thankfully, Nissan covered the difference in the cost of the factory compressor and replaced it with that since the warranty company wouldn't budge on covering the factory compressor.
I would NOT buy this car. I've know several people who've run their cars well over 100k miles and their compressors never go out much less several times. If I didn't have the extended warranty, it would have been around a $1200 repair each time.
