After reading the other complaints I guess I am not alone. My car does the exact same thing everyone else has posted. When it is hot outside and I accelerate or am cruising at 80+mph, the car will all of a sudden stop accelerating. This is so embarrassing, you will pass cars, trucks, etc. and then your car just stops going and you have the pedal all the way to the floor. I have been trying to go up a hill and an 18-wheeler has almost hit me because I zoomed past him only to have him right on my bumper up the hill because my car would not go! This is dangerous and when I take it to the shop they tell me there is nothing wrong with it. They are unable to re-create the issue because the engine has cooled off by the time they look at it. It is a known problem but Nissan does nothing about it. Now - my car has started to jerk when I let off the gas - no telling what that problem will be. I just replaced the catalyst converter, had a tune-up and still have these issues. I hope someone who is a mechanic is able to figure this out since Nissan can't.

CVT crappy vile transmission. Monopoly on parts and computer programing. Anyone thinking of buying one beware, you Will have to replace the transmission for at least $3700.00, so unless someone is giving you the car and you have cash for repairs, your still doomed because the only guarantee on the new one is for 12 months. Just changing the "exceptionally special fluid" @ $300.00 a pop, only guarantees it goes out of warranty before the very next reasonable $3700 repair. Just look and see where they use to extend to warranty to 120000 miles up to 2010. Just ask a independent repair shop, mine said "they're dropping like flies!"

This car has some kind of acceleration or transmission issue. I've been told that there is not a problem, but if it works at one point and then does not at another point there is clearly a problem. The car seems to accelerate smoothly sometimes and others I drive to blocks before the gears change. There are sometimes that in mid drive I will loose acceleration. This is dangerous on the freeway. I am outraged that these car companies can just run with your money. They charge 100times the amount it takes to make the car and then will not be honorable and admit when they need to correct something.
