The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the dashboard was melted and sticky with an abnormal odor coming from the dashboard. The contact stated that there was a glare in the windshield from the dashboard which made it difficult to see while driving. The vehicle was taken to sutherlin Nissan located at 8125 E. colonial dr, orlando, fl 32817, where the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no additional assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
My dashboard in my 2012 Nissan Altima is melting in the hot Florida sun. I have had numerous cars and this has never happened to any of them. I need my dashboard repaired. This melting causes a bad glare of my windshield making it difficult to see.

The paint on the hood came off in a chunk, during a car wash. It as reported to the dealer and Nissan directly. After they gave me the runaround for 6+ months, Nissan said it was not their problem, that it was an environmental issue. I have since had the car repaired. The hood needed to be taken down to bare metal, and repainted. The cost was over $500. Now the roof is doing the same as the hood.I am not a happy Nissan owner.
