I hadn't even put 3000 miles on my 2011 Altima yet, and I knew that you should get your first oil change at a lower mileage than recommended since loose pieces of metal can be swimming inside. I checked the oil level, and it was DANGEROUSLY LOW. I took it up to the dealership because I knew the 2002-2006 Altimas had huge problems with this. The dealer said that he would change the oil for free every 2000 miles, but I don't have time to do that! I sold it to another dealer last week, and I'm glad I got rid of it.
