My wife and I purchased a brand new Nissan Altima SR in 2011 from the Nissan dealer in Hendersonville, NC. We have performed all service at scheduled intervals since new. The vehicle currently has about 65,000 miles and is in near perfect condition. The paint and outer body are in like new condition. I want to emphasize that we have tried to care for this car like it was our baby. We intended to keep this vehicle for the rest of our lives.
Last week, my wife was getting into the vehicle and her foot went THROUGH THE FLOORBOARD! after examining the vehicle superficially, there are no holes from the bottom up. I cannot examine the top side of the floorboard due to the carpeting and floor mats.
I have been extensively researching this issue and see that it is a common problem with the 3rd generation Altimas but has not been reported in the 4th generation Altimas like ours. What solutions does Nissan offer for our situation?
