I drive everyday on the turnpike at 75 miles an hour. This travel should be easy on an engine since it's not stop and go. I was cruising along when the engine suddenly started knocking and blowing smoke. I pulled over only to find a puddle of oil under my car where the connecting rod to the piston punched a hole in my oil pan. I have always had Altimas and usually got 265,000 miles out of the 2.4L engines. I wonder if they cheapened them up when they went to the 2.5L.
