We started getting an antifreeze smell from the car, so we told them about it at the dealership when we took it in for an oil change. They told us that they could not find anything wrong. the problem continued and we continued to complain. When people you know pass you on the street and stop to talk to you while you are getting out of the car and after a few minutes they ask you about the smell coming from your car you tend to ask your self if they really checked the car or not. On the third or fourth time of telling them to check the car out. The tech told me that a co-worker has had the same problem out of his car, and that they had done a compression test on the engine like they had done on ours and like wise did not find anything wrong. Then he had the balls to tell me that the reason that they had to add coolant to the car was because it had evaporated. Antifreeze does not evaporate! how do you lose fluid out of a closed system. If you do not have a leak you should not be losing any fluids of any kind. We took the car to another dealer to have them check it and they told us that they could smell the antifreeze but could not find anything wrong. They finally sent out one of their big wig techs to have him check it. He had them to change out the heater core and the coolant overflow bottle (that i had told them to check the 2nd time). H checked the heater core and overflow bottle and could not find any thing wrong. So he drove the car around for an hour (on our gas) to come back and tell us that he could not find anything wrong with the car. By the time we got home with the car (1 hour drive) and got out what do you smell. yep! F@#%ing antifreeze. So i call the "corp" office back and the mr. Mccaine that the problem is still there and that we want to know what nissan is going to. To cut through the crap he calls me back 3 weeks later to say that Nissan is not going to do anything else except step back away from it and that if we have any other problems with the car to take it bak to the dealer for repair. What do you know checked the coolant the other day and of course the bottle is almost empty for the 2nd time. By the way the dealer also said before the big wig tech came to look at the car, that they sure hoped he found out what the problem was so they would know what to tell the other customers that are coming in with the same problem. I asked how many others had complained and he said about 6 or 7 more besides us. So please if you are having this problem with your car send me an email and let me know because i am going to see a lawyer about this to see what we can do about it if anything at all. my email address is lgrubbsjr@live.com Thanks!!
