CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2005 Nissan Altima has two fairly significant problems with the floor pan rusting through & motor mounts breaking.
Altima owners report that up to a basketball-size hole develops under the floor mats where the floor pan metal rusts through. Average repair cost is over $1,000.
The broken motor mounts are less of a problem - they break at ~75,000 miles average & it's $400 to fix. Still, motor mounts should not break!

Bought car few days ago, passenger side low beam headlight was out, running lights would flicker then, they stopped working. Put new headlight bulb in, no good, checked fuses they ok, what could it be?
Update from Aug 25, 2013: Apparently previous owner had problem same as mine, found new bulb was in socket. Tried all I stated before. took to a Nissan mechanic, he checked all fuses relay, ground, then checked socket & bulb. Bulb was okay, apparently what sounded like a click was not the one that snaps & hols light in. After he pushed and turned we heard another click and it was the snap that held light in. It is working. Just be sure if change headlight that you push and turn until you hear it click and is tight. Hope that helps someone like it did me. good luck.
