CarComplaints.com Notes: Here's a disturbing trend for the 2002 Nissan Altima: the engine starts burning oil like crazy, the catalytic converter goes bad, the head gasket blows and eventually the entire engine needs replacement. Sound familiar? Like a script from a horror film, these Altimas seem doomed to fail around 95k miles.
I have dumped approximately $5000.00 into my $23,000 used Nissan Altima 2003. Was on Parkway noticed has no pick up what so ever. Pressed the peddle down are far as I could (pedal to metal) and the car maximum speed was 65 mph. What the hell is wrong with this car. Hate to invest any more money. Am a family of three with one car. Have to perform a magic trick. My son starts school on Wednesday after investing over $5,000 for this semester we have no car.
