Cruise control failure to disengage when I pressed the brakes while I was driving and coming off a freeway off ramp. I tired several times pressing the brakes to disengage the cruise control. I finally put the car in neutral to stop it. I was very lucky there were no other cars in my path or I would have hit them or caused a accident resulting in injuries or death.
