This car was really nice when I first got it in March of 2003. What turned me on to it was it was a standard, but now I have no use for it due to the catastrophic failure of the alternator. I sounds like a quick fix, but this beater has other problems that I'm not going to bother putting any money into it. The list is as follows; erratic operation of power windows, more frequent (and much worse) in inclement weather. cruise control inoperative, dashboard dimmer switch malfunction, occasional starts (I had to push-start it a few times-had starter and battery checked were faultless), and, drum rolls please... this bucket left me stranded in the middle of a ghetto neighborhood--with the driver's window wide open when fuse blew leading to the ignition. This has led me to believe the alternator was at fault, because this same occurrence happened two summers ago, and when I took it in, the automotive tech. told me when the alternator fails, the car will run off the battery until it reaches a certain voltage then without warning, the main fuse pops killing the car instantly, thus leaving me stranded. This was a nice car-in its better days, but now its time for me to get rid of this paperweight.
