Ok. Its Christmas 2012. My son has always wanted a 350z, but he knew his parents could not afford one. My son is the best person finishing school with honors, and continuing on to college. He deserved a new car. Well his mom and I found one, used as we could not afford a new one, in the style he had expressed to one of his friends. On Christmas day without his knowledge, he received his new car in a "Christmas Story style" presentation on Christmas morning. Afterwards we started to notice the paint was starting to fade. We did not notice it at first, as we bought the car from a Ford car dealer here in eastern North Carolina and they had it shined up of course.
The paint got worse and worse, finally into different shaded of red over the whole car. The mirrors started to chip and blister. It was horrible. We first went to the Car dealership and of course they do not want to help us. We were told to go to the Nissian dealership close by and that was a damn joke. They acted like the problem was my fault and any repair was to come out of the manager pocket. He advised he would take pictures and send them to Nissian corporate office to see what they would do.
I could have bet my paycheck on the answer I would receive, and guess what,, I WAS RIGHT! gee what a shocker!!!! I called the Nissian office after receiving my case number. They little girl at Nissian office acted like I had screwed up the paint and they were not to fix the problem. She had a "I don't give a damn" attitude on the phone. she talked over me the whole time we were on the phone. She made me so damn pissed off I just hung up. Bottom line, the car is real nice to own being very stylish and fun to drive. My son still loves his car, crappy paint and all. We are EXTREMELY disappointed with the car dealerships and especially the Nissian Corporate office. They should really listen to the people having this same trouble. I read a comment from someone else with the exact same problem. To anyone else thinking about buying the same car,, LOOK OUT. If you have a problem, well tough S_ _ _ T!!. you will just have a 5 tone 350Z!!!
