I LOVE my 350Z,
I bought the extended warranty, that's a good thing! The soft top might be covered, if it is the mechanism.
Nissan dealership will replace some parts and then see if that stops the top from getting any new cuts, it is very easy to see that stress pressure could be the cause.
I'm told not to put the top down until the new parts are installed. the top is in like new, shape, and the rips are only the lower part of the top where the defrost glass window is located, I guess that is a lot more expensive because of the defroster in the window. I truly believe that the alignment is off. I will send in the results.
