This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Electrical problem: Alternator in 2000 there was a bulletin in my local newspaper of a defective alternator in a 1997 Nissan 200 sx. I replaced the alternator prior to this press release. I bought the car used and never received this recall or repair notice I wasn't sure if this was covered seeing it was a used vehicle. I never received any information from Nissan or the dealership so I gave up until I seen your organization on local tv. Is there any form of reimbursement I can receive?
