This Technical Information Notice was sent to dealers informing them when diagnosing a CVT shifter concern related to the shift actuator or for code P0780 the last step indicates incorrectly that a possible cause may be the shift actuator and that if confirmed the transaxle should be replaced. If diagnostics lead to a shift actuator DO NOT REPLACE THE CVT TRANSAXLE. The shift actuator and inhibitor switch are both available as separate parts and should be replaced independently of the transaxle.
