Took the car into the dealer and told them that the driver seat has play in it around a 3 inches or so, just moving forward and back no side to side, the remedy was to replace the track under the seat, took them 2 days to do so because they could not get the electronics to work come to find out they just forgot to plug them in. The seat has been fine, I am up to 59000 miles now with no issues with the seat.

Outlander GT S-AWC V6

I bought brand new 2014 Outlander GT on September, 2014. Almost immediately I found that my seat is moving back and forth few inches (the driver's seat is electric). Couple days I tried different settings but w/o any luck. Moving has got worst and seat started even rotating a couple degrees around back right connection point. So, I went back to the dealership and they replaced immediately my seat with new one and give a warning that I should expect small movements because of the seat design.

With new seat the problem was somewhat fixed - I do not have huge back and forth movement anymore. However, the small shacking still occur and give hard time to my back when I drive. A week ago I took my car for first regular service and filled complaint about this problem. I asked and tested few new cars with the same seat types and found out that all of them had the same issue. Again, I was told that this is Mitsubishi Design and nobody can fix it but them.

Hope the manufacturer will fix this problem soon.
