Tire pressure Sensor valve stem rotted out because it is made of aluminum. Cost a significant amount to replace it since the dealer is the only place that can register new pressure sensors on the Outlander. Tire shops are dumbfounded that the new sensor cannot be registered since they apparently do it all the time on other vehicles. This one issue is causing me to never buy another Mitsubishi. The dealer charged over $300 now to replace one valve. Highway robbery. Replacing the TPS sensor valve has been an ongoing problem over and over for this car. It has cost me the most $$$ of any issue with this car. I actually have been driving it with a regular valve stem with the warning light on. Any suggestions to get it replaced cheaply would be appreciated.
