My vehicle accelerated on the highway while I was going 75 MPH. I released my foot from the gas pedal and the car would not slow down. I could not get the vehicle to stop for a good 4 minutes, Thank god there was no one in front of me or I would be dead right now. I pulled the car into the nearest service center and had them look at it. They said that the entire gas pedal (interior and exterior) was defective. I called Mitsubishi and their resolution to the problem was to have the car towed to the nearest dealership (30 miles away) at my own expense and pay the dealership diagnose the problem. They were not helpful AT ALL.
Needless to say if I do not get ample reimbursement for this problem I will be filing a complaint with the applicable regulatory agency and the BBB. Stay away from Mitsubishi as they do not stand by their products.
