The contact owns a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage equipped with Firestone FR380 tires, size 175/65R14. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the vehicle vibrated. Upon inspection, the contact noticed the driver side rear tire had tread separation. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic and the tire was replaced. The contact also mentioned that recently, the front passenger side tire had tread separation. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who confirmed the failure and stated that the tire needed to be replaced. The tire was replaced. The tire manufacturer was notified. The tire failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was unknown. The dot number was not available. The vehicle failure mileage was 199,000 the current mileage was 230,000.
