The map sensor has a manufacturer defect which causes the car to cut out or lost compression while driving. The map sensor has to be constantly cleaned and would last for a few months before it needs to be cleaned again. The problem has progressively worse since September 2012 and now occurs every time i start the car. I would have to start it at least 4 times before it starts to run, normally when you turn on the ignition switch, it sputters and I have to turn it off and start again until starts. In some cases, you would be driving and have the pedal to the floor and the car would not go faster than 60 kilometers and takes awhile to get up to 80 kilometers which is the speed limit. in wrote Mitsubishi Motors regarding the problem on September 20, 2012 and they did not respond..
