I was driving the car this time and noticed yet again after coming off the highway (yes I drive very high kilometres every year) that there was a mist of steam from under the hood. Again booked it in, and took it down that day. Dealer called the next day and said the car was ready! All parts and labour covered under warranty...Again!!

Two radiators later, I was in getting the oil changed, and the upper tech noticed a wisp of steam. Pointed it out to me, and of course I was NOT impressed. He proceeded to tell me that my rad cap failed the pressure test and was only holding about 5 PSI, but was still dropping from that very slowly. I know a rad cap is extremely important and could not was amazed that the dealership did not replace the rad cap when they replaced the other radiators.

Anyways, I called the dealership right there and booked it in. Dropped off the car the next day and 3 days later got a call the car was ready for pick up. Arrived there expecting the same as usual, sign the paperwork for the warranty and on my way. Instead I get a bill for $2000. I looked up and stated the car car is under warranty as you know. And was told that they had replaced 2 rads before in a very short period of time and I had to have neglected the car to make the radiator leak again. I replied by saying this car sees all highway mileage and that I would have done a coolant flush but since they have replaced the rad twice that I had assumed they put new coolant in. Service Advisor told me that they make it a practice to reuse fluids. I replied by saying I should have known since the rad cap was not replaced and failed a pressure test. He stated back that the rad cap was not under warranty therefore i would have had to request it to be changed. He asked how I was paying the $2000 bill.....I retorted by saying "WARRANTY". He looked at me rolled his eyes and said with a straight face..."You have went through 2 rads already, you have reached your limit." My mouth literally dropped open. I got up and went to walk out turned around and said put that in writing please. He did!!!!! I took the letter and stated I would be back tomorrow, after speaking with Mitsubishi Canada. Called the head office from my trusty Dodge, explained the situation, they asked me to fax the letter to them. I received a call the next morning from the dealership that I can come pick up my car and that all parts and labour would be covered under warranty. When I arrived there they handed my the usual papers to sign and just before I signed them I noticed that the service manager had wrote "The last Radiator covered under warranty by (the specified dealership)" I said I would sign this, the manager came out and rewrote the papers. MITSUBISHI SUCKS!!!!

My other half was driving the car and said there was steam coming out from under the hood. I went out opened the hood to find that there was a minor small radiator leak. Booked it in to Edmonton Dealership. Car sat there for 3 days and got a call that the Radiator was replaced and the car was ready for pick up. Picked up the car, all work and parts were warrantied.
