The contact owns a 2011 Mitsubishi Galant. The contact stated that while stopped, another vehicle crashed into him from the rear. The air bags did not deploy and the front passenger seat belt did not retain its passenger. As a result, a passenger seated in the front passenger seat suffered injuries and sustained a concussion. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop. The failure was not diagnosed and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileages were 13,008.
