The contact owns a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant. The vehicle has Goodyear Eagle rsa tires, size P235/45R/18. The contact noticed that the sidewall was cracked halfway around the front driver side tire. The vehicle was taken to the Goodyear dealer and they stated that they would replace the defective tire. The mechanic stated that based on the tread wear, the contact would be responsible for the price difference of the tire. She was displeased to discover that she would have to pay for anything. In addition, she felt that the remaining tires should be replaced at no cost due to the vehicle's riding performance. The defective tire has not yet been replaced. The VIN and dot number were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 20,100.
