The contact owns a 2005 Mitsubishi Galant. While driving 50 mph, an odor of fuel was detected inside the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, a leak was detected under the rear driver's side bracket under the fuel tank. Springfield Mitsubishi (313 baltimore pike, springfield, pa 19064, (484) 574-8434) was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08V454000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 115,000.
