Gas leaks from pipe that leads from filler hole to gas tank. Especially bad when fueling car at gas station.

The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant. The contact stated that while having an emissions test performed on he vehicle, the contact was notified that the fuel fill pipe was corroded and need to be repaired. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 94,000. Updated 05/08/12
