The contact owns a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. While driving at various speeds, the low beam headlights and the signal lamp failed to operate when activated. The failure recurred constantly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuse failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 02V147000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

In Dec of 2004 found a problem while the vehicle was under warranty. The problem is when the reading lamp is activated with the vehicle door open a short circuit appears which causes the fuse to blow.
