The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. After the air conditioner was activated, the front driver and passenger side floorboards became moist. In addition, there was a burning odor and an abnormal noise coming from the air vent. The contact also stated that the blower motor for the air conditioner became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the drainage tube for the air conditioner unit was clogged and needed to be unclogged. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 114,000.

I own a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The blower went out about 2 years ago. I had the blower motor replaced ($400) in January 2010 by expert tire (no Mitsubishi dealer nearby). About 5 months later, the fan stopped blowing again intermittently. I would have to turn the A/C completely off for a day and then it would start working again. Also, it is leaking into the driver side floorboard. Now, I have a musty smell anytime I get in the car. The A/C appears to be working fine now, but anytime I drive in the car for a couple of hours, it stops working again. I've called Mitsubishi and reported this several times over the last few years, but cannot get any help. They just tell me to bring it in to the service department. I don't live near a Mitsubishi dealer, they don't offer a rental car, and I really don't have another $400 or more to spend on this problem. From what I've read online, there are alot of other Endeavor owners who have this problem. Mitsubishi needs to take a look at this problem and do a recall. If this many people are having the problem, it's not a fluke accident.

There was a rubbing sound coming from the right front of the truck when turning and the A/C failed intermittently while driving. The evaporator housing was removed and the debris and water was cleaned from the housing and blower motor. (trash filtered through the air condition vent system)
