We bought this car for our daughter so she would have a dependable/safe vehicle to drive back & forth from college etc. The car is great on gas, handles very well & has great safety ratings but this issue is most definitely a deal breaker for me. This car has $84k miles on it & it has been very well taken car of. I understand having to change the oil, tires, fuses, battery, alternator etc but this should not be something, in my opinion, that any car should have to have fixed. How in the world can every other dealership make a vehicle that doesn't have this kind of issue...but a top of the line, dealership gets this wrong!?!! To me this should be covered under the warranty. We took the car to the dealership twice & it's still not fixed! They said the part is around $600.00!! I will never buy another one of these cars!! Mini Cooper/BMW have their vehicles set up to where the dealership is about the only people that can even change the oil! It's highway robbery, ridiculous!!
