In all likelihood this issue was present when I bought the car from Habberstad Mini in Long Island, NY with 13,000 miles. I am very surprised that the dealer would sell the car with this issue especially when it is Certified Pre-Owned. Had this not been covered under warranty, I would have been out a few grand to repair the car.
