This Service Information bulletin supersedes SI M61 01 15 dated February 2015. SUBJECT Noise from Steering Column Switch Center when Turning. The customer states that there is a grating or scraping noise when the steering wheel is turned. The noise comes from the area of the Steering Column Switch Center (SZL). When turning the steering wheel, the connection between the steering wheel and the SZL causes torsion stress, creating interference noise.
