engine problem
I have a Mini Cooper 2009 since August 2012. Each winter, if the temperature is lower than - 10 c, I have to start the car for 10 minutes if I want to go to work and when I start it, BIG NOISE and all the time the first time the engine just fails....lost fire...I've call Mini Cooper so many timea and they said this to me: you have to start your car each day (it's what I'm doing) or put it in a garage for the night, no block heater available, it does not exist for this model.
They recommend to me to install a battery heater to remove the condensation in the battery ( like a sheet)...it doesn't work for my problem. I change the battery too....doesn't work for my problem. I use supreme gas...it is what its recommend for this car...if it's not good for the winter, so don't sell it!!!!!!!! I'm extremely disappointed of this and I'm searching for an other car...Sorry for English, I'm French so...

Check engine light came on and made a rattling noise in the motor when I tried to start it. They told me it was a timing belt and I hauled it to Omaha dealer for a repair estimate Cost me $200 to do that. Started out a timing belt, then guides and then a complete engine replacement. Over $7000 plus. I only had the car for month or so and I still owe 4 grand plus. And they won't let me have the car back till I pay $250 for the estimate. I've always wanted a Mini... but now. What a Joke.
