The other day my dome lights wouldnt go off in the car so i took the bulbs out and called the dealer they said it was a door ajar switch if i bought it in the could test and find out which one it was the driver side front door so they took door panel off because its part of latch inside the door and lubricated it with special grease and it works again for now

Sable LS 3.0L V6

The lights were OK until today then suddenly they stayed ON when I stopped the engine and closed the doors, and won't turn OFF when I start the engine. For now all I can do is to disconnect the battery and I'll see what else can be done tomorrow. I'm not very optimistic though.
