Under wet conditions, power steering goes in and out. Near crashes many times. Dealer reported that this was normal.

I commute a long distance to work, when I can't fill up my gas tank and the engine light constantly comes on I don't feel safe. When it rains the car sometimes losing power and brakes. The tires and brakes have already been replaced. The following items have also been reolaced, seat belts, air conditioner, drivers side eletric window motor, the horn and more. Whenever I take the car to the dealership I am told that the engine light coming on is no big deal and the brakes and tires were normal wear and tear (the car was maybe a year to a year and a half old) they also told me there is nothing they can do about the gas tank not filling up. I am extremely dissatisfied and would like to know what I can do legally about it. My car is going into the shop again for what I think may be the sensors (this has happened before) the only differance is that this will be the second time I have to pay out of my pocket, I have contacted lemon law, the dealership, Ford, and the bank holding the lease. Lemon law contacted the dealership and this was the only time I received service with a smile instead of an attitude. Even though the problem is still not resolved. On three different occasions during heavy rains the power steering failed while driving and was unable to control my vehicle. Since then, the power steering fluid started leaking and capital motors in tall. Fl. discovered that the fluid line was frayed. It took a week for them to repair this, and they hinted that I might need a new steering rack. I have had no problems since then with losing control of my steering. It could be dangerous if you were trying to avoid another vehicle or pedestrian.
