The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Montego. The contact stated that the wheel bearing failed on the front driver side of the vehicle and also damaged the spindle. The contact was reversing from a residential driveway when there was a loud bang sound from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the repair shop where they advised the contact that the wheel could potentially have separated from the vehicle. The failure and current mileage was 18,000.. updated 07/27/12 the consumer has the vehicle's broken part. Updated 08/02/2012
