The "Check System Brake" light would come on sporadically starting 2 days after I drove the car off of the sales lot. I would turn the car off, pump the brakes and turn the car back on, as I was advised it was probably a bubble in the brake fluid line and this would fix it. While driving on the interstate with my cruise set at 75 mph, a semi-truck pulling a trailer came into my lane unexpectedly to avoid hitting a vehicle that stopped in the road unexpected. I slammed on my brake and the light came on as the brake pedal hit the floor. In the past the light would come on but the brakes would still work. Cruising along on the interstate at 75 mph though, the car didn't brake. It didn't stop at all actually. I was able to drive another 22 miles (not safe, but necessary) to get this car off of the road, to a Ford dealer. Since my brakes weren't working I had to coast into the lot and come to a stop by coasting into a parking block. I left this vehicle with Andy Mohr Ford in Plainfield IN and they called me back 3 hours later and said that clearly wherever I purchased the vehicle (Hubler Chevrolet in Indianapolis IN) never inspected the vehicle, didn't do a thorough job or knew and didn't care. The vehicle is so unsafe to drive I couldn't even leave their lot with it unless I was towing the vehicle. It is going to cost me $1800 to repair a vehicle, I paid $4000 for less than 2 weeks ago.
