Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Milan. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle shook, sputtered, and lost all power. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was able to restart, but was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a faulty coil pack that needed replacement. The contact stated that the independent mechanic replaced three coil packs; however, when the mechanic attempted to start the vehicle, the coil packs exploded and the vehicle shut off again. The independent mechanic informed the contact that the repairs were too large of a job for him and suggested the vehicle be taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The contact had not experienced an air bag failure. The failure mileage was approximately 43,200. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall. I first received notice of the recall in June 2016. I checked again today and found that the recall notice is still there, but as in last summer, there is still no remedy available. I spoke with a dealer in the area and they confirmed that there are no parts yet available and they don't have information available when the parts will be available. I recognize this is a sizeable recall, but it also seems that a year is a long time to wait for repair of such a potentially hazardous part.

Ford never contacted me by mail about the June 2016 recall of the takata airbags in my 2007 Mercury Milan. I tried going to the brondes Ford dealership on secor road in toledo, Ohio in 2017 and they refused to fix my airbag saying it was not in recall. I have been to them twice trying to get this issue fixed. The airbag cover on my dash is pulling apart and is ready to go at any minute.

Takata recall" I received a recall a year ago this month regarding the airbag situation. The dealership is not concerned and has not received anything to replace it. The seal on my dash has opened up exposing some foam. I am concerned for anyone to sit in that seat. I want to know when this matter will be resolved. It is ridiculous that they have not bothered to fix this considering it is dangerous. Ford needs to step up. I want some answers!!!

I was sent a letter stating that my vehicle has been recalled for a defect in the airbag. I called a few months later and asked when it qill gwt fixed and was told when the part shipment comes in a will receive a letter or a call statng when to bring it in. If the problem was't going to be fixed when I recieved the letter one shouldn't have been sent out. This process is taking longer than it should and needs to be fixed soon. Who knows when an accident is going to happen wether its my fault or not, me and my family are going to be seriously hurt. Then I will be forced to take legal actions.

I received notification of recall involving the passenger side airbag in July of 2016. Your site shows me that the repair is still not available, almost a year later. So I am driving in a car and my passenger, usually my wife, is not as safe as she should be. I find this to be a serious problem. Can you help remedy the situation?

Takata recall there has been no update in the last year since the recall was announced, regarding replacing the passenger airbag in my 2007 Mercury Milan. The stitching (or whatever material is used) has started to disintegrate on the passenger side dashboard, where the airbag is housed. I've been hoping the recall would have been completed before now, so I wouldn't have to have the car taken in twice to be fixed: Once for the deteriorating dashboard around the passenger airbag, and a second time to have the airbag replaced when the parts for the recall become available. I'm very concerned to keep driving the car, and also for the resale value, if I wanted to sell the car due to this issue still not being resolved.
