Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags). The part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer (creston automotive, 410 w. adams street, creston, ia 50801) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I was informed of the airbag recall (causing serious injury or death) over a year ago. I have called my Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership, where I bought my car, every few months for an update on whether the parts are estimated to arrive. I have never been given an estimate on when the parts will arrive and have never been provided with a solution to my issue. I would like to get this fixed before it hurts or kills me or anyone else that may be in my vehicle. I do not want to wait until there is an accident to file a lawsuit or wait another year or two for a resolution.

Takata recall I have called and not gotten any response from a local Ford dealership to when I can have my free correction of my airbag recall. The recall was issued by NHTSA (16V384) and manufacturer (16S26) in June 2016, so it has been over a year and no correction has been offered. My airbag light is on and they won't do anything about it. Tag jge563 Mississippi. I can send registration if required.

Takata recall: I contacted auto nation Ford frisco, tx in June/July of 2016 concerning the recall and again in July 2017. I also contacted bob tomes Ford in mckinney, tx. There I no available parts to repair the vehicle. Concerned that the car is my 16 year old daughter's vehicle for school and work.

Takata recall : I have been driving around for years with these dangerous air bags in my car. The parts are still not available for the recall and now takata is going bankrupt, I am afraid they will never get replaced. This is an unreasonable amount of time to wait for a very serious recall and an unfair position to put people in. I am afraid to bring passengers into my car because god forbid something should happen. So I have a car that I cannot put anyone into? this isn't right! it is causing me mental anguish and making life very difficult because no passengers can safely be in the front seat.

The dealership says parts have not been received as of October. 25, 2017 prox. The service rep says out of Ford's control. No damage yet

Takata recall - I still am being told by my servicing dealership (priority Ford in Norfolk, va) that the parts are not available. That is ludicrous. My car may no longer be in production, but it's the Mercury twin to the Ford Fusion and it's Ford who is sending me the recall info. Now takata is in bankruptcy. This has been delayed entirely too long. It's always the consumer who gets the short end of the stick. Please help me get this replacement accomplished.

I have contacted Ford Motor Company and local lincolin dealer, no one can give me a time frame as to fix the air bag recall. The car has had a recall on it for 18 months with no plans of fixing on their part. Ford should be made to buy the vehicles back since they can not fix them in a timely manner
