Got the throttle body (I think that was it) replaced late last year on a customer experience recall and now this week, I was traveling in heavy traffic on the interstate at 75mph and my car loses all power and wrench light comes on. I luckily was able to get to the side of the road. Engine is running, but push down on gas and nothing. Turn off engine, wait a few seconds, start again and car runs fine. No issues all week until this morning on the way to work. On road at 60mph, no power, wrench light. Got pulled over, stopped, restarted and ran ok.
I called Ford Customer assistance and explained the issue was occurring again, and I was scared to drive the car as I never know if it will happen in traffic on the interstate and I get hurt. In the past, dealer explained that because the light goes off after restarting, they can't get an error code when they hook up to computer. Ford told me that until I have the dealer find an issue, they cannot assist with the problem. Therefore, if the dealer cannot find anything wrong, I have to wait until the vehicle stalls again and the engine light comes up to diagnose. So...can't get the car into the dealer until end of next week, and I'm scared to drive my car, but have no choice in getting to work, and pray I don't get in an accident.. Had this car less than 5 years, so not feeling good about Ford, Lincoln, Mercury...
