Driving down the road in my wife's mariner. Suddenly the brakes turn into a sponge. I knew from experience that this is a loss of pressure and something is seriously wrong. I pull off the road to a parking lot in Michigan on a busy street. I look under the car on the drivers side and see a large wet spot on the inside of the tire. I have my wife hit the brakes and notice brake fluid spewing out. I called my brother to bring his tools we went to the auto store and bought a new brake line about $20 if I remember right. That fixed the problem, jump ahead about 6 months. My wife drove down to Florida from Michigan mind you. I start to drive the mariner and the same thing happens again. This time I have no tools or helpful brothers close by. I drive the thing to Pepboys using the hand brake as my brakes. The passenger side failed now. I would suggest having these inspected or changed out at a brake shop before this happens. It could have been a lot worse if I had to stop fast and the brake line had failed.
