While residing up north (NY) during the winter the hose disconnected, the one that delivers washer fluid to the rear washer. This is a big problem while driving due to slush and road crud building up on the rear windshield, you can't see anything behind you. My 2005 Mariner was still under warranty when this happened the 1st time. I took my SUV to the Ford Dealership, I was told that the hose froze and burst, and it was repaired at no cost to me.
The hose has become disconnected or has burst again, the only thing is I now am living back in Texas, when this happened it had been in the 70's - 80's and never got below freezing, even at night. Now my SUV is no longer covered by the warranty and this is a real pain to repair, the entire interior has to be disassembled in order to replace this hose, starting from under the hood in through the firewall, over the front passenger door - over the back passenger door - through the cargo area and between the layers of the liftgate to the back windshield washer! Then the SUV interior has to be reassembled.
The dealership wanted to charge me $2500.00 to replace the starter, I can only imagine what they want to charge for this repair!?
