The contact owns a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis equipped with a Michelin P225/60pr16 defender tire. While driving 70 mph, the rear passenger tire blew. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed into a guard rail. The contact and the driver sustained injuries but the contact could not recall the exact injuries. A police report was not filed of the incident. Neither the vehicle nor the tire was taken for inspection or diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The VIN and dot number were unavailable. The approximate failure mileage was 114,000.
