My wife was driving down a heavily traveled major thoroughfare in the san fernando valley, when her 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis stalled. The electric fuel pump had failed. As the vehicle died, she lost the power steering on this 4,000 pound vehicle. Unfortunately, she had her two elderly disabled parents with her. The vehicle only had 39, 527 miles on it. Luckily no one got hurt.
