This is a low mileage car and the check engine light came on , took to Ford Dealer and they repaired a leak at the gas tank a year ago...the light reactivated a couple weeks ago and was a computer alert 301 (I believe), they thought it was a part and hose behind the upper engine area,..turned out not to be so.. They then tried the smoke test to locate the leak and nothing showed up.
Seems all was well until they started the engine and they saw a drop in vacuum. They now say they have no idea what causes it. There was no charge for the second attempt to locate the problem.
So the question is, will it become serious and or what can be done to fix it? Is it a common thing now for this year and model? etc.
What direction can I give my Ford Dealership for repair.
Thank you.
