The contact owns a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. While driving 65 mph and the headlights suddenly shut off. The vehicle was towed. The contact drove to a dealer and the dealer informed the contact that a 25 amp fuse was in place of a 20 amp fuse and caused the headlights to stop working. The dealer replaced the fuse and no other failures have occurred. The contact also stated that the vehicle has never experienced any electrical problems and he does not feel comfortable driving it. The failure mileage was 149,000.
