Making this important engine part (intake manifold) out of plastic is beyond my comprehension. I'm wondering if I should ever consider purchasing another Ford product. I'm so unhappy with my former repair shop (Williamsburg Ford-Lincoln-Mercury) that I think I know the answer. They replaced a fuse with a circuit breaker for a charge of $125.00. The circuit breaker lasted about two miles, then failed. When I called them, they told me my "real" problem was likely a bad fuel pump, which they were willing to replace for $965.00. I declined, and had my Mercury towed home. I then wrote a complaint letter to the general manager, seeking assistance from them for my $125.00 bill. He never replied verbally or in writing to my complaint.
Hasta la vista to Williamsburg Ford!!! I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. Not that I have a liking for my worst enemy, but I dislike Williamsburg Ford even more and have no desire to send them any new clients.
