I own a 2007 Mercedes Benz SLK 280. I drove the car off the lot on 10/17/2006. During this time, I have visited the dealerships (Buena Park, CA where I purchased the car and Pasadena, CA) four times regarding the faulty satellite radio. By now, the service department has replaced the wires, connectors, the radio unit and the harness. The radio still does not work. In fact, this problem showed itself within the first week of the purchase.
The satellite radio was part of an upgrade package that costs $4850. The subscription to Sirius is $140/year. The dealership has requested that I prove/demonstrate the issue with the radio because according to their computer test, the system is in working condition. The burden of proof is on me, the customer. Outrageous!! I'm a third-time Mercedes Benz owner. I will never buy another Mercedes Benz. I spent $60k on my car and this is what I have to deal with.
