entering the on ramp to the freeway, accelerated up to normal speed, and the transmission stopped delivering power, as if it stalled, for no reason. I was going uphill and there was no power. The engine was revving and nothing. About 1000 feet later, as I was coasting to the side of the freeway, and under 40mph, the transmission re-engaged and all appeared to be normal. This was the first time this had happened, and the auto has over 165,000 miles. Does anyone have an idea what caused this, and what it would cost for repairs?
